Adult High School

Carteret’s free online Adult High School program lets you earn your diploma at your own pace with required core courses, electives, and possible work experience. Graduates receive a diploma equivalent to any public or private high school diploma, issued by Carteret and the Carteret County Board of Education.

High School Equivalency

At Carteret, students can earn a High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma by completing the GED or HiSET tests, which are registered and paid for online, then taken at the approved campus testing center. Graduates receive a diploma from the State Board of the North Carolina Community College System.
